This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Fuel tank is defective. Area of wetness seeping from top of tank on drivers side adjacent to exhaust tail pipe confirmed by dealer. The point of defect on top of tank is obscured from road hazards by it's close location to the underside of the auto frame, leaving the conclusion that the tank has a manufacturing defect and needs to be replaced. I do not feel this should be at my expense as the seepage and it's proximity to the hot exhaust is a serious safety hazard.
