I never received any notice of a recall on the engine cooling fan. The end result was damage to the engine in my 1995 Ford Mustang because the engine fan quit operating and caused overheating to occur. I have also not received recall notices regarding the hood, the lights, etc. The only notice I did receive was for the parking brake. I am now in the process of having the engine evaluated to see if it can be repaired without having to totally replace the engine.

I have 95 Mustang.around 2001- 2003 it overheated then the next night caught on fire right beside the house. Luckily I was able to get in the house and get a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.the fire began from the thermostat that controls the water temp to the radiator.it shorted out and caught on fire. I was able to get it out with minimal damage to the car however a head was warped due to the thermostat going out and the car overheating. I took it to the dealer and it was going to cost alot to fix so I took it to a shade tree mechanic who was able to fix it for around $900. Later a friend had a Mustang to burn to the ground for the same reason. I later got a recall on it and continue to get them but hesitated to go back to get it fixed for fear they will put another bad one on it. I am uncertain of the date and year because I did not get a receipt from the shade tree mechanic however I took the Mustang to jenkins and wynn for diagnostics.they should have record of the damage.

In July 2002, my Mustang started overheating and I received a recall notice, (recall # 01S30), I took my car to Ford and they said they would check it for more damage. I got my car back and it still overheated, so L called Ford and they told me to bring it back in and they would check to see what the problem was. They told me there was nothing wrong.. so I replaced the head gaskets and it still got hot, so I had the fan motor checked and that is what was wrong, so replaced, and the car ran fine until April 2003, so I started replacing cooling system parts until, the head gaskets blew again, so I replaced for a second time and relized that the problem was the fan circuit breaker again.. I again had to replace the circuit breaker and the fan motor.. I also called Ford again and got that the part was out of warranty and that there was nothing they could do for me.. I now have blown head gaskets for the third time in a year.

The engine cooling fan has failed to operate due to the possible siezing of the fan bearing. The fan harness as a result has melted and resulted in a very large drain on the vehicle battery leading to no electrical power and the vehicle stalling when the vehicle temperature rises above normal. A similar recall has been filed for Ford vehicles with a Ford recall of Ford recall # 01S30or NHTSA recall no 01V390000. This vehicle has not been included on the recall according to Ford Motor Company representative and deserves serious consideration for a recall repair.

I recently just had a recall done on my car. Recall - cooling fan motor circuit breaker installation on my 1995 Ford mustang Tuesday 5/6/03. I picked my car up that Wednesday 5/7/03 and now my car is overheating. I am going back and forth with Ford service department ar premier Ford in grand blanc Michigan cause their trying to tell me that what occurred was not likely. They said the recall couldn't have caused this but I beg to differ. I noticed it instantly like the day I drove it, and it started to overheat. I am a technician and I work on instrument panel clusters I know for a fact my car was never overheating before I took it there. I was not having this problem before my car was taken in. I set an appointment to take it in Tuesday 5/13/03 to find out what damage occurred, the service manager is trying to convince me it may be my thermostat which may be stuck open. I know there are several complaints of this happening to people after this particular recall was done. Several that can be found on the internet. I really like my car and I have been overly satisfied with this up to this point of the recall. I called myself doing the smart thing by finally getting this taken care of now it looks like Ford is trying to take me for a ride. A ride that I do not want to go on. I didn't have any major problems like this until I got that recall done I am referring to: Recall# tsb number issue date tsb title 01S30 Dec 01 recall - cooling fan motor circuit breaker installation I got this recall done at premier Ford in grand blanc Michigan. (810)695-3000. Please advise or I may have to seek legal advise. Cause I am convinced after reading about several complaints on the internet following this recall. Because it occurs instantly. My vehicle overheated the day recall was done.

Consumer received recall notification, (O1I011000) but was already experiencing overheating problems, the dealer replaced the circuit breaker and stated the fan motor was fine, however consumer continued to have problems with the vehicle overheating, consumer took the vehicle to a mechanic who changed the fan motor and the vehicle has not overheated since, consumer contacted the manufacturer for possible reimbursement and was referred back to the dealer and their conclusion was that the fan motor was ok, consumer stated there was no way they could hade produced the same conditions in which the fan did not work properly, the fan started out ok, but would wind down to almost stalling on days of high heat, as long as the vehicle was moving, the temperature would stabilize, but as soon as consumer got into heavy traffic or stopped, the vehicle would overheat, consumer contacted the manufacturer again after being told there would be no reimbursement.
