Consumer received a recall letter in the mail concerning the parking brake assembly. To remedy the recall, it was necessary to take apart the console, once reassembled the seat belt buckle was tucked underneath. Consumer is no longer able to utilize the seat belt.
When pulling emergency parking brake up it failed to hold the vehicle in place. Contacted dealer and dealer could not fix parking brake. Consumer had problems with air flow unit and sensor.
While vehicle was in park with emergency brake on vehicle started to roll down hill. Parking brake was not working properly. The vehicle rolled down the hill and collided resulting in a major damage to the vehcile. The manufacturer had olso issued a rcall notice on park brake assembly problem. Recall no. 00V-349.

3 separate problems: Front disk rotors have warped twice and had to be reground. A/C compressor bearings froze causing drive belt to emit acrid smoke that filled the passenger compartment (happened on original and again on replacement). Temp gauge showed fluctuating temperature until bearings froze completely (happened with 2 different compressors). Parking brake released causing car to roll into neighbors vehicle, causing damage (parking brake handle was in the up position with no tension felt when the parking brake was moved to the down position.)
Consumer heard a grinding noise when appying the brakes. Took vehicle to a mechanic, and was told that the housing of the parking brakes was coming apart. Also, when entering vehicle, it makes it fall onto the driveshaft.
Emergency brake; when parking on a hill, emergency brake doesn't hold car, took car back to dealer say emergency parking brakes aren't designed to hold car.
