The contact owns a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact there was a leak on the floor of the vehicle from underneath the windshield on the passenger-??s side. The contact stated that there was mold forming underneath the floor mats. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the cabin air filter was fractured and caused a leak. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the failure was a known issue; however, the repair was not covered under warranty or a recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 37,000.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that the strong odor of mold and mildew was present inside and outside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who informed the contact that the failure was caused by faulty floor pan body plugs which were improperly sealed causing water to intrude into the floorboard of the vehicle and causing mold and mildew to develop inside the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 900.
