I ordered my truck with all terain tires, they installed Falken wildpeak A/T AT3W 235 65R 17 tires. When me vehicle sits for a while (especially when its cold out).I get a vibration for the first few miles down the road then it goes away. I have taken it to the dealer they are blameing the issue on the Falken tires, they said these tires develop a flat spot after sitting for a while. So they didnt think it was going to hurt my vehicle so they where not going to replace them.Seeing how I paid extra for all terrain tires and they installed these tires I don't think that was the correct action on there part.
while highway driving on a 350 mile trip on several different paved surfaces including interstate highway the weather conditions were dry to torrential rain and light rain. The tires in question were hydro planing at speeds over 45 miles per hour on wet pavement and the truck was unstable unless speed was reduced. The tires were OEM on this truck and the trip occurred from 17,900 miles to 18,250 miles. There is approx 6/32 of tread remains on the tires. The tires were replaced upon return with a more suitable all season tire. The tires in question are continental pro contact tx, 225/65 r 17, 102H. They are designated all season and stamped M&S as well. These are unsafe for the reason listed above.
