The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion hybrid. While driving 10 mph, the check brake warning indicator illuminated. When the brake pedal was depressed, the brakes failed to engage. The contact stated that the vehicle was eventually able to stop after depressing the brake pedal to the floorboard. Prior to the failure, the brakes were applied and worked fine. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it test driven. The mechanic discovered that there were no brakes. The vehicle was towed to garnet Ford (1610 wilmington pike, West chester, pa 19382 (610) 358-5600) where it was diagnosed that rodents chewed the body harness, which needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened.
