Last year I received notice and contacted wray Ford they said not to worry, its a second car not used often, but have not heard anything in over a year called again and they have no parts and I found this card with more info hopefully you can resolve this issue thanks bob
Takata recall: Upon making a specific in-person inquiry regarding remedy for this safety recall, my dealer specifically advised me that they were unable to replace my airbag and that I should instead wait to be advised via postal mail that a replacement airbag was now available.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 174V024000(air bags) exceeded a reasonaable amount of time for the repair. The contact had not received a recall notification. The dealer (midway Ford, 8155 West flager street, miami, fl 33144) stated that the parts were not available for the repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. There was no guarantee that the parts would be avaliable on a specific date. The VIN was unknown. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not avaliable.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V024000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that folsom lake Ford (12755 folsom blvd, folsom, ca 95630 (877) 514-0408) and frontier Ford (3701 stevens creek blvd, santa clara, ca 95051 (844) 521-1916) were contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting her that they filed for bankruptcy. The contact had not experienced a failure. Takata recall: Ford cannot tell me when a replacement airbag is available. Were notified January 2017 and have called multiple times to inquire about repairs. The answer is always they don't know when parts will be available and that I should keep calling back. This car is unsaleable without the repair!
Takata recall. I received a recall notice in March 2017 about the frontal airbag inflators, and the letter stated that I would receive notice when the parts were available so I could schedule the repairs with my dealer. That was almost 5 months ago amd I'm still waiting. When will my vehicle be repaired?
Above car shows light indicating that passenger seat airbag is turned off when my wife is seating in seat. This occurs approximately one out of five times. The light does not go off. Being a hazard to my wife I had crater lake Ford, medford, or check it out. They did the factory tests for calibration and found no problems. They said my wife does not weigh enough. Her weight is approximately 98 pounds. They further said it is a "safety factor for the airbag not to deploy in an accident since there would be more harm from the airbag than otherwise". a ridiculous statement since the airbags are protection against hitting windshields or other hard objects in the car. Would you please help me resolve this issue with Ford. Note- a complaint was filed with Ford factory on 7/29/15. No resolution from that complaint.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the power steering seized without warning while steering through a curve. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the side of a tree and went down into the canal. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000.
Car was being driven down steep driveway by my 88-year-old father. He says car accelerated without him giving it gas. He is backed up by black box, which says no pressure on accelerator. He also says brakes didn't work, which is not backed up by black box, which says no pressure on brake either. Car left driveway, hit tree, and ended up approx 200 yards down steep hill. Black box says rolling occurred. Only passenger side curtain airbags deployed. No front airbags deployed and no driver side curtain airbags deployed. Injuries to both him and his companion resulted in hospitalization to both.
