My new 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid started to leak oil at just under 2,500 miles. I was already having another major shaking and vibration problem with this car that has still not been resolved and so I mentioned this to the FORD rep and he didn't think anything at all about it. I have had many new cars and never have I had one that leaked oil. I took it in this past week and found out that the oil filter and seal were cracked. They have fixed it but the big question is....why did this happen to a brand new car. All the dealer would say is that this is highly unusual. Good thing it is now fixed but it concerns me greatly that they couldn't find the cause which leaves me to worry if it will happen again.
