I have read that there are all kinds of throttle body issues with Ford vehicles and mine in particular. This particular issue sounds like it could be dangerous - particularly to someone like me that lives in a major metropolitan area with lots of traffic moving at high speeds. I think Ford is dodging the issue of owning up to an endemic issue with their cars. I read that they had extended the warranties on certain cars but when I called Ford North America, the customer service personnel told me that the "Customer Satisfaction" campaign was extended to only certain vehicles based on VIN numbers. I'd love to know how they cherry picked "which" VIN numbers were covered. I'm very disappointed in Ford. I've always been a Toyota owner. This is the only non-Toyota car that I have ever owned. I'll hang on to my Ford for a while because for the most part, I've liked it. But when I buy again - I'm back to Toyota.
