Very dangerous Left Front Axel broke while driving in town. I had bought this car new in 2010 and kept it well maintained. Drove this car with hardly any problems until yesterday, 3/29/2013. Left Front axel broke for no reason at all. Did not hit anything. It just broke as I drove slowly on a residential street. Ford repair is baffled why it broke.
This could have killed us and other people if I had gone on a trip that day with the car loaded up with people and on a freeway, Steering lost control after axel broke.
