The car refused to start. The red triangle and engine light came on and a message to “pull over safely†then “transmission not in parkâ€. I had it towed to the dealership where they diagnosed the vehicle as a wiring system problem due to rodents chewing the wires, and had to replace the system. 600$ for the car part alone, then they claimed they “fixed†other wires.
He said if it wasn’t a rodent that did it then it would be covered under warranty but if it was a rodent then it’s not covered.... So, $1900.00 later the parts and wires have been replaced and/or fixed. All out of my own pocket, with no warranty coverage for rodents they said, although the wires are coated in soy. Do you think they never once thought of rodents chewing up wires due to soy coating? I think they did know it was an increased risk.
So what's next???
