Decided to lease Ford Fusion Energi as a second car. It is a nice riding and comfortable, providing me around 52 mpg around town and 39 on open highway, that is when it is not in the shop for battery issues. I have less than 3000 miles on it over the past 5.5 months of which it has been in the Dealership for almost a month of the time. It is currently there now and I have been given a rental right there with the dealership and guess they don't rent ford since they gave me a Hyundai, first for 2 days and today extended another 4. The first two visits the changed the battery stating that is all it needed and now I am waiting to see what they do this visit. Texas Lemon law requires this to happen 4 times over a period of 12 months and here I am and haven't even gotten to the first oil change at visit 3. Plan was taking this car on vacation next week and now I'm not able to and really not sure if I can trust they will truly have it fixed and strand me some where away from home. When I asked dealership about getting a different car they made me a fair offer for a truck, however they wanted to deprecate the Fusion $20000. when I asked why they only valued it so low, one of them stated, "think about it, the Fusion is considered a rental car and doesn't hold it value the same". I have not owned a Ford in many years and with this experience, will not at the end of this 3 year lease.
