My transmission has always been loud and I've been told it's no big deal, but now it's completely going out. My car isn't yet 5 years old and the miles aren't yet 100000, Ford Didn't offer a 100,000 warranty even on the extended warranty, so now I'm being forced to pay up to 7k for a transmission that won't last even 100k more miles, when the first transmission on most other hybrids averages 200,000 miles. I feel cheated by Ford on this part and this car.

At first the harsh shifting wasn't too bad, but it keeps getting worse. You will be coasting down a hill going about 50 and all of a sudden it just down shifts when you ate not expecting it. Other times you will be coasting down a hill and it won't shift at all, pushing the RPM over 4,000. It's really bad in Stop n Go traffic, the Tack flutters all the time. If your driving for an extended period of time, more than an hour, when you get out your body vibrates for a couple of hours like you were riding a motorcycle or on a bus trip.

Took it to the dealer, left them have it for the weekend, but said that it was within normal parameters. Had it back a second time and was told the same thing. I filled out a complaint on Ford's website and received an immediate response stating that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. I was to have a response back from a Customer Service Manger with in 1 Business day but that never happened until I emailed two more times. I then received an email stating that the first person that responded was mistaken that Ford is not aware of any transmission issues and was basically brushed off. This is the first Ford and probably the last I will ever purchase. When you pay over $30,000 for a car you expect it to perform better.
