I am very frustrated that a car this expensive would have transmission problems and reportedly needs a new transmission. A 2014, fully loaded with 153K miles and it needs a new transmission. This was the first Ford I ever bought and I am beginning to see why.
Car started making a clunking noise, like something loose, then catching, when applying tension (acceleration) to the transmission. Took it to the dealer and then told me the noise was coming from the transmission and rather then spend the money to break it down and find out what was wrong, they recommended a new transmission at a cost of $7,500. Needless to say, I can't afford to shell out that kind of money for a new transmission.
I will think twice before buying another Ford product...
