The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion Energi. The contact stated that after parking and turning off the vehicle, the vehicle started rolling backward. The contact could hear an abnormal metal grinding sound. The vehicle then stopped independently. Upon starting the vehicle and attempting to drive, the vehicle failed to move. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where the battery was replaced. The vehicle was then towed to a second dealer, Lance Cunningham Ford (4101 Clinton Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37912), where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer advised the contact that he had to pay out of pocket for the repair. The vehicle had been at the dealer since February. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train) however, parts to do the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Ford denied my recall on my vehicle charging cable as it indicated that it is only working to repair Ford Focus electric vehicle charging cords. My cord overheated, damaging my garage electrical outlet. Manufacturer recall number18S24 NHTSA recall number18V592
My 2014 Ford Fusion had motor mounts go out on it, I'm being told that it is not covered under my manufacturer warranty. I'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic S I'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic sensor malfunction and yet again it still is showing malfunction I am so close to filing a lemon law on this vehicle it's a 2014 with 60,000 miles and I can't even trust it to get me to and from work anymore. Worst purchase of my life. Back to the motor mounts I was leaving work put the car in reverse and when I was backing up I felt a major vibration I got out and checked everything started rocking the car back-and-forth by hand and realize the engine was moving abruptly took it to the dealer where I was told it is not covered by my warranty and I will have to pay approximately $395 and cover my own rental car it just doesn't seem fair, also had to pay to have a new steering wheel and but put on before the recall came out, and was told I can't get reimbursed because it was 6 months before the recall was issued.
The charger (shoreline) nearly caused a house fire. The charger overheats at the wall socket. It is not the wall socket because I tried it on a commercial outlet on a new 20A circuit breaker. The online chat rooms are full of concerns about this. I called Ford and they did not seem to take the concern seriously at all. The vehicle is in park, turned off and charging.
