I got a touch car so I didn't have to drag the keys out everytime to start it or to lock and unlock the doors and trunk. We've had the vehicle for a little over a month and it consistently refuses to unlock or stay unlocked when touching the door handle. I'm sure it's the sensor - but it's annoying. My delearship is 100 miles away and I'd have to take a day off work just to have it looked at. I don't know why the door lock - which isn't related to the car being a hybrid can't be looked at by the local Ford dealer - 3 miles away. I understand the other electricl problems which are related to the driveability of the car need to be looked at by a specially certified Ford dealership for the hybrid - but the locks.Gee.
Extremely annoying. Have to take a day off to bring the problem to their attention and then most likely have to take another day off for the delearship 100 miles away to fix it. Then have to take in again for the other repairs. I can't afford to own a car that cost me that much lost pay if Ford can't get it right.
We were so excited when we got the vehicle, but after being a Ford owner for 30 years - this is the last one. Never buy Ford again. In fact based on experience over last 3 years going to change to Nissan.
