First I have to say, I LOVE my 2017 Ford Fusion Sport, it's fun to drive, it's fun to look at, & it makes my drive to work so enjoyable. However, I have lost 3 tires, my husband has lost 1, all to potholes. He has been driving 46 years, and I have been driving for 40 years, never have we had this happen! For us to break 4 tires in the course of 6 months due to potholes is insane. I drove my Mustang GT with low profile tires and big rims for 3 year all year round without a single pothole problem.
Could the pothole detection system that was so bragged about not be enabled on my car or broken? OR is it making things worse? We are fortunate that the road hazard warranty has covered 4 tires however, it's pretty scary to be at the side of the road, in the parking lot of a jail, or in a parking garage...at night changing a tire. Not to mention the time it takes to go to the dealer, wait while they get a tire, and then miss work.
Any solutions, thoughts, or information would be awesome.
Best regards
