BUYER BEWARE: ford customer service found me another "ford service dept" to assess issues. Appointment made with service, with confirmation of what they thought was occurring with the vehicle, Show up at appointment hopeful that finally someone at ford has some integrity and knowledge about the vehicles they produce. While listing the numerous issues, the service manager of stevens ford bayshore ny, comes over and says "we're not taking the vehicle, I have enough headaches with ford". Regardless of safety, professionalism, responsibility, integrity, nor referred by ford manufacturer, stevens ford refused. Perhaps he would be the different if someone he cared about was driving such a poorly made, unsafe vehicle. No conscience.
Update from Jan 1, 2018: Excessive steering: steering wheel turns excessively to the side of the turn. This almost caused 3 accidents thus far. I was getting off a 2 lane exit, going around a bend and the steering wheel turned so excessively that it took me into the next lane. Thankfully, no one was in the lane at the time. Two other times, simply changing lanes, the steering wheel kept going and overshot the lane progressing into the next lane. Again, thankfully no one was in that lane. DANGEROUS. Levittown ny ford reported: "all working properly". Rain/ice/snow, AN ACCIDENT AWAITING TO HAPPEN, and Im actually paying for such???
Update from May 8, 2018: Steering issues worsened, turns excessively in direction of turn with increased frequency, and sticks.
