We were considering buying a Ford Fusion. So we rented a 2016 Fusion and took it on a few hour road trip. On the way home we were caught in a mild rain. These wipers were dangerously slow. Then when passing a transport truck, I couldn't see and had to look to my left and use the rumble strips at the side to know if i was going off the road.
Someone is going to get killed with these wipers. We just had a mild rain, I can't imagine how difficult it is to drive in a heavy rain, we were going to rent the car for 2 days, but I took it back because our next day's road trip was further and we were calling for rain and snow. I would much rather use my 2007 Caliber which handled better than the Fusion.
I will not by this or any Ford vehicle because of this. I have read that at least since 2014 this has been a safety issue yet Ford has done nothing about it.
Very disappointed and concerned. You wonder if there was a search done on accidents with Fusions in the rain,
if there were any serious outcomes. Shame on you Ford.
