The car is three years old with 102,000 miles, bought it brand new and most miles are from highway driving. While on the highway going about 45 mph, the car started hesitating. Pulled over on the median and drove it to a safe place a little bit by little bit, all while the car was jumping and making a noise like when you step on the gas while the car is in neutral. Now at the dealership, I get a quote for two options:
# A MT78044E82 REMOVE AND INSTALL TRANSMISSION (REMOVE AND REPLACE TRANSMISSION UNIT AND FLUSH COOLER LINES) $5230.55
# B MT78044E82 REMOVE AND OVERHAUL TRANSMISSION (REMOVE AND OVERHAUL TRANSMISSION - WILL NOT KNOW EXTENT OF PARTS REQUIRED UNTIL FULLY DISASSEMBLED) $3487.02
