I was driving about a quarter mile from my house. Car went into limp mode. I made it back home. Borrowed a code reader from O’Reilly. Code said P2111. Googled it and found out it was a failed throttle body. Also learned that these parts often fail on Ford Fusions. Bought a throttle body at dealer for $100 total with tax and new gasket. Replaced the part and it is fine so far. 2015 Fusions do not seem to be on any extended warranty or recall notices. I thought I should put the word out in case anyone else has this problem. I will file a complaint with Ford and also NTSA. I am so lucky that it was near my house. If I had been out of town, it would have been very expensive to have repaired at a shop.
