2015 Ford Fusion with approximately 110-120,000 miles on it. When at a complete stop, car will intermittently sputter and not accelerate, despite pressing gas pedal. I need to maneuver to the side of the road, place vehicle in park, and restart the car. Occasionally it will do this 2 times in a row, but mostly only once, then will drive as normal. Coincidentally, the coolant is frequently low with no obvious leak. It was taken to a Ford dealership as well as several local mechanics, and no codes were found. It is a huge safety concern as there is no warning, no check engine light, nothing that indicates the car may not have power and will stall when trying to go through a light or stop sign.
It is difficult to maneuver off the road and I am concerned about the car dying in the middle of an intersection. In the past 12 months in addition to this, the temperature gauge will suddenly spike to extreme hot temperatures and I have to pull over and have car towed to a mechanic only to find there is "nothing wrong." This last time, I pulled over, and the car began shaking and stopped. Mechanic says it is a blown head gasket, most likely from the coolant problem (that nobody could find a code for or diagnose). I am now looking at a $2000+ bill, and the Ford dealership says there is nothing they can do about it.
