Spotted another puddle under the car. Took to local shop & told left front caliper is leaking and both front calipers need to be replaced. Also told the cooling line to turbo is leaking & needs to get repaired. Having vehicle towed to dealer as unsafe to drive. When I drove vehicle back from shop, low brake fluid light finally came on. I have also had both brakes lines replaced twice in the last 5 years & transmission replaced. Believe this car may be a lemon.

I have had to replace both brake line twice in the last 7 years. Luckily, I noticed a puddle under the car & then the brake pedal went to the floor. Have been stranded at locations 3 times and the 4th time, I was able to get car home & then towed to shop for repair. I have contacted Ford numerous times about this issue with no resolution. No lights illuminated to warn of low brake fluid or low brake pressure. Even after pedal went to floor, no warning lights.

As I was driving on 9/10/22 with my 2yr old daughter and the vehicle spontaneously lost pressure in the braking system out of nowhere making my vehicle hard to stop. I contacted my local ford dealership in regards to the matter but was very dissatisfied. A repair shop informed me it was the driver side brake hose.

Brake line delaminated - had to replace after brakes went out completely. Paid out of pocket for repair after tow. Power assist steering stopped working abruptly. Had bolts replaced for earlier recall related to salt in states with winter conditions which could cause this exact issue of the power steering to fail. Hill assist is also not working.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH he attempted to depress the brake pedal and it failed to respond. There were unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle went forward and hit the vehicle in front. There were no air bags deployed. The front passenger side headlight and bumper were destroyed. The police arrived on the scene and filed a report. There were no injuries or medical treatment needed. The contact drove the vehicle to a local repair facility and was currently not repaired. There was no diagnosis of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to a manufacturer's recall (22R01) of brake failure from Ford Manufacturer. The approximate mileage of the failure was 64,000.

While driving the breakline on the left side burst causing the brakes to totally go out.had vehicle towed to a ford dealer where they said the breakline needed replaced due to the linkage busting off. There was no warning lights or warning that this would happen. 2 weeks prior the vehicle was at same ford dealer for other service and no remarks were made by dealer after their 27 point inspection which includes the breaks.wife and 3 year old daughter we're both in the car when this happened as well as others on the road that were at risk of a collision.

Driving on a flat surface coming to a red light. Went to slow down and car would not stop right away. After doing a check around the vehicle I noticed brake fluid was leaking out of front right part of the car. I turned the wheel, had someone press the brake. Saw that the rubber hose was squirting break fluid out. There was no warning of any kind prior to the incident.

This went on until i was able to get off the freeway. very scary. when I spoke to a mechanic a brake switch needed to be replaced. Currently pending repairs

The brake lights remain on, car started jerking in traffic, no control of car function other than park and drive. Call around dealerships, they either didn't have the part, reschedule me time after time, then I had to wait. Now car is not working

The brake lights stay on permanently, even when the pedal is not pressed, and even when the car is turned off. This is clearly the same problem that Ford recalled these Fusions for in other states.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately at 70 MPH and turning slightly into the right lane, the steering began to shudder. The contact was unaware of any warning lights being illuminated. Additionally, when the contact applied the brake pedal, it traveled to the floorboard. The contact lost control and went off the highway, crashing into a ditch. The contact had the vehicle towed to a collision repair shop. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not diagnosed. The vehicle was repaired for collision damage only. A recall notice for NHTSA Campaign Number 22V011000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) was received however the contact was uncertain if his failure was related to the recall. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

In August 2019 I reported to Ford that the brake lights were staying on all the time even when the car was shut off. I was still able to drive my car (Ford Fusion Hybrid 2015) to the Ford Dealer Ship in Sarasota. I was told they have to keep the car because it's a danger and not legal to drive with that kind of defect of my brake lights. I had to pay $ $1115.24 for the repair of the car. Ford had to replace the brake pedal assembly. My car was in the shop for a month. They also replaced the steering wheel bolt which was a recall 18S08. In my opinion I paid for a repair that is now a recall. Will I be able to get my money back and a compensation for not having a car for 1 month provided we are talking here about the same issue?

My car has approximately 110,000 miles on it. For the last 6 months, I've been getting alerts on my dashboard ("Service Advance Trak", "Hill Start Not Available", and one or two others). This happens at slow speeds and when turning. When these alerts start, I lose power steering. I've also noticed that when I apply brakes at slow speeds, the ABS engages for a few seconds. I was told by the dealer that it was the engine control module. I had it replaced and reprogrammed. However, the alerts and loss of power steering still happens though not as much.

At approximately 80,000 miles, the abs censor came on, along with three other lights, one of which is traction control. The brakes begin acting out of control and power steering goes out. Mechanic came to look at it and told me that he-??s seen a lot of the same problems with Ford vehicles, specifically fusions and fiestas. He told me it-??s an ABS sensor in the electrical harness.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard without warning. Despite the failure, the contact was able to drive at low rate of speed with her hazard light activated. As the contact approached her destination, the low brake fluid warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact pulled into a gas station and topped off the brake fluid reservoir however, the brake pedal continued to depress to the floorboard. Once the contact arrived home, she checked the brake fluid level and saw that the reservoir was empty once again. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where she was informed that her vehicle was not under recall and was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and she was given the same information as the dealer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

Brake Failure/ Right side passenger side brake hose failed. Heard a loud pop while having my foot on the brake. Went to start driving again and when I pressed my foot on the brake I couldn't stop. BLUF: Safety issue related to the brake sensor pad failing, resulting in unpredictable engine performance. On 02JUL21, I went to eat lunch and parked my car as normal. When I returned to my car, I noticed that my brake lights were still on, despite the engine being off and me being away from the car for 30 minutes. At the time, i assumed that I must have bumped the key fob buttons, and did not overthink it. However, as I drove the vehicle, I noticed significant loss of engine power as I sped up. As in, I would attempt to accelerate (normal rate, not aggressive), and at some random point, the engine would lose power (as though in limp mode), and would not respond to further throttle input. This could be resolved by lifting my foot completely off the gas pedal and reapplying pressure. Then I would accelerate again for approx. 2-3 seconds, then encounter another loss of power (and corresponding loss of speed). As a result, my speed on the road was unpredictable, as the car was not responding to my throttle inputs properly. After a nerve-wracking drive like this, I attempted to troubleshoot the car, and found that the spacer/bearing pad that the brake sensor bears on had fractured into pieces and was no longer functioning. It appears that the car's computer believed that the brakes were being applied when they were not, and so the computer was putting the car into some sort of reduced power mode, but not giving any check engine light warnings or similar notifications (I checked with an OBD reader, no codes given). Ford does not sell a replacement part for this pad, so I have rigged up a short-term alternative, but I am concerned that if it, too, fails - or for anyone else encountering this problem - the erratic speed and inability to control the car will result in a traffic accident.
