After backing up and then putting the car in drive, the engine stutters and then stalls. This has happened 4 times in the past couple of weeks. It's a very dangerous condition.

Update from May 6, 2022: Turns out the stalling problem is a bad torque converter.

Update from May 15, 2022: Turns out to be the torque converter. $3500.00 to rebuild transmission.

My car will stall at random times. 1, 2, or up to 5 times, then it will start up and drive okay for a while until it stalls again. My mechanics changed the low pressure fuel pump and the high pressure sensor. That is what the codes told them to do and it did not fix the problem. Today they are changing the low pressure sensor. If you look this problem up online, there are tons of people having this problem. Ford needs to fix this.

So I’ve had my car less than a year. Then all of a sudden last month my car starts choking and humming and stalling. Through extensive research I’ve come to learn it’s the purge canister valve. Which was recalled in 2011 models but not 2014. So now I have to spend about $500 to fix the problem. This can cause pressure issues in your tank and cause your tank to crack which can lead to a fire. Need a recall on this part ASAP.

I have a 2014 Fusion with 38000 miles I can't drive. I had to purchase another car to drive to work. My car will stop accelerating. I have been pulling out in traffic and the car won't move. Have to restart. Have had the car die in parking lots, had to restart 6 times to get it to run. Then it will drive fine. Took it to Ford Dealership and they can't duplicate the problem. Had it 3 different times. The last time for 47 days. Not fixed. Told my kids if I get killed to sue Ford. I have a case number. I saved for years to buy a good car and I don't feel safe driving it. I now drive a Toyota Corolla 2003 with 184,000 miles on it to work every day. It's reliable. I plan on trying to drive the Fusion when it warms up because I don't want to be in the cold weather stranded. I have a heart problem. I need my car to fail so they can possibly fix it. I was desperate so I had Ford replace throttle body 300 dollars and that wasn't the problem. I need help.

Several months ago my car started stalling when I would step on the gas. I would have to shut off, and restart. I did notice that it seems to happen after I have driven for a while, turn off the car, and then get in to drive again. I am wondering if it is due to something being hot. I took to a mechanic, and he said a code had popped for the fuel pressure sensor, so I replaced it. It seemed ok for about 2 weeks. It just happened to me again about 3 days ago. I love my car, but this issue is making me think it's time to move on to something new.

Update from Jul 29, 2020: After replacing the fuel pressure sensor, and having the issue happen again, I took the vehicle to Tuffy Auto Service Center. They did a fuel injection cleaning. It shows on my receipt as - Clean injection system with high pressure in line with injection cleaner. It was 89.99, and I have not had the problem since.

My 2014 Ford Fusion started stalling from low speed starts. It would die and then have to be restarted. I took it to the dealership, described the problem and left it there for three days. They ran a diagnostic test and left it running for three hours. Obviously, they did not listen to the description of the problem. They could not "duplicate the complaint". Two days later, the car died in traffic and I had to be towed to the dealership. They have to replace the fuel line as well as the connector for the fuel line because it "spins" and will not tighten. This is going to cost me an additional $400.00 plus tax for the connector. Total cost is $800.00. Pretty expensive connector if you ask me. By the way, the connector is on back order. Sounds like a factory defect to me. Any one else have any thoughts or experiencing the same problem?

p2112 Car stalls and cuts off the use of the throttle control /gas /rmps. Ford won't warranty it until the Error code is in the history. Which the car erased overnight magically with a self test. It will keep happening. Not good Ford fix this or tell us how to fix it as in easy maintenance.
