Under moderate braking, brake pedal went to the floor - red brake light came on and I had little to no braking. Vehicle was on 25mph neighborhood street - had to brake suddenly for a dog. Was only 1/4 mile from home and was able to get into garage. Found a puddle of brake fluid from left front. Removed wheel and found left front brake line ruptured near fitting crimp opposite end from caliper..

My car, a 2014 Ford Fusion SE, was parked in my driveway on 1/2/2021, everything was fine on 1/3/2021 I started the car and my power assist did not work and an error of "steering assist fault service required", "service advancetrac", "hill assist off" and my traction light came on stating it is off. This car has 74036 miles and has never had a problem. I called the Ford dealership and was told there are no recalls for this. The car was stationary with no reason for these problems.

I was involved in a major collision on Thursday 8/27 at approximately 3:30pm. While approaching the intersection to make a right turn, I removed my foot from the gas and attempted to brake, but rather than slow down, my car accelerated. When I pressed the brake all the way down it still continued to accelerate until I hit another vehicle which finally stopped my car. I am lucky no one including myself died- this is absolutely unacceptable. Ford continues to have these issues and their negligence is going to harm more people!

While driving on a 2 lane flat road the car started losing power, when I press the gas harder the car really speeded up and after 2 blocks it started losing power again, within that time the "hill start assist" warning light came on and went off losing power on and off for 5 miles until I reached home. After getting home I notice the brake light didn't go off after 2 hours, so I had to remove battery cable. I had to have it towed to repair shop and they repaired brake switch because I didn't know if it would stop completely.

Brake pedal sinking to the floor this caused my wife to back into another car and damage both cars. Now the parking brake malfunction light is flashing and acting up. Had towed to shop. I've seen recalls coming out on this issue hoping Ford is going to cover this expensive issue. Has caused one accident already. Please contact me about this.

I was leaving my home and the brakes failed. When pushing the brakes the tension gave way and the pedal just sank to the floor and the brakes stopped working. There was a similar recall for 2010 Ford Fusion. Now the brakes do not engage at all they can be pushed with 0 effort to the floor and do not do anything.

On November 15, 2019, I had a recall service conducted on my car to comply with Ford recall 19S16. However, the recall is still open for my vehicle according to the NHTSA website. As a us service member stationed overseas, I will need to show proof that I have complied with this recall before I can ship the vehicle back to the usa.

Vehicle was stationary foot on brakes in reverse. My sister touched the back of the car with her hand I heard a loud beeeeeeep then never heard any sound again. Not even when the keys are left in the ignition or when I'm unbuckled. Not a single sound. Then 3 months later the brakes were stalling so I got new rotors and pads and they still stall/ shake. As if that wasn't enough now it just doesn't start: I've googled all these problems and I'm not the only one. Ford should not be allowed to keep selling the same broken cars.

The contact owned a 2014 Ford Fusion. While the contact's wife was driving approximately 45 mph and attempting to come to a stop, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard when it was depressed. The vehicle proceeded forward, crashed through a fence, drove through a nearby yard, and struck another fence. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. A police report was filed. The driver sustained injuries to the arms, legs, head, and back. Medical attention was required. While driving at similar speeds and attempting to stop the vehicle, the contact noticed that it would coast into a stop instead of stopping as expected. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 109,000.

While driving car down highway at approx 70 mph, suddenly the brakes stop functioning normaly making it almost impossible to stop vehicle without using emergency brake. Also experience extreme loss of power making it difficult to reach a speed of 35 mph with pedal pushed to floor. Ford dealership diagnosed as vacuum pump. Ford vacuum pump purchased and replaced. Within 3 weeks exact same issue again on interstate. Brakes nearly useless to bring car to a stop, loss of power. Had to have vehicle towed to get it home. Called to question warranty on Ford vacuum pump - informed vacuum pump is on "national backorder" and can't even be given an approximate date as to when a new part will be available. Maybe it's time for a recall"?"

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. When the contact attempted to place the vehicle in drive, it went into reverse. The contact also stated that the brakes seized while reversing in the driveway. A child was running past at the time of the failure and the contact had to use excessive force to stop the vehicle and avoid the child. The vehicle was taken to Grand Prix Ford (701 E palace pkwy, grand prairie, tx 75050, (972) 975-9621) where it was diagnosed that a new shifter cable was needed. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact may pay out of pocket, but would be reimbursed by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 68,000.

I've had my vehicle since October 2015, my vehicle takes to long to stop while driving. The distance between car can be far but car still won't stop. I have had 2 accidents in this vehicle because of this. It's like the car is glides and you have to put excessive force on brake to get vehicle to stop. You can also be completely stopped at a light and the car will lightly glide but to the point U don't notice the car is moving. The 1st accident the airbag deployed I wasn't even doing 2 mph. I was sitting in traffic with foot on brake and car glided. Miles at time was less than 50,000.

Parking brake came on without being touched by the driver. Locked the rear wheels. Very dangerous. Vehicle was traveling at low speed on a Suburban street, while driving in a straight line. After the event, took the vehicle to the Ford dealership, where we have all the service work done. Ford found no error codes in computer and could not replicate the problem on test drives, and as a result said they could not fix the car. If this happened on a highway or in heavy traffic this vehicle defect could result in fatalities. Ford needs to address this.

My ABS, power steering, traction control, rear view assist, airbag light all went off at the same time. I live in Michigan, so there is salt on the road during the winter. It seems there is a Ford recall 15S14 that seems to address this but the dealership refused to fix stating that there is no recall for my Fusion. This is a safety issue as the loss of power steering is extremely dangerous in the winter. I am concerned for my safety. I am disturbed at Ford and the dealerships response to this safety issue.

I was driving the car into my driveway. It is a shared driveway for a townhouse set. I had my foot on the brake as I pulled in. I was going slowly in the drive way. I turned the wheel to park the car. I had the brake firmly depressed. The car did not stop. I ended up slowly going into the garage door. I had the brake pressed down. My foot was not on the gas. My foot is also not wide enough to have pushed both down at the same time. The only way I could stop was to put the car into park. It came to a jerking stop, but did not continue the forward motion.
