The new 2014 Ford Fusion has a toxic smell coming from the carpet, glue I think. I have had the dealer look at it numerous times and they detailed it twice and steamed the carpets one or so. Frankly I don't believe they are concerned any longer, however, I can't continue to drive it without concern.
The dealership said they can't get the smell out and would not spray anything on carpets because the two smells would make the riders more nauseated and vomit. They say there is nothing more they can do, they even snicker on the phone. I am a nurse and just being in the car for 10 minutes to work I get a migraine, nothing helps. Opening the windows in 20 to 30 degree weather is ridiculous, let alone when it rains.
Any suggestions on what I can get the dealer to do? I am thinking of just dropping it off and saying "its your problem now". I bought Fords because they did not take the bail out, now that is all I want to do.
