Only 74,000 miles on this car and now have spent over $3495 dollars on two expensive fixes. Have had this car since it was new and always took the best care of it. How much more will go wrong? Maybe it's time to turn it in for a better built car.

Fusion S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission

Bought 2014 Fusion brand new in 2014. By 2017 had brought it in to say AC was not working it was blowing hot air only. The dealership said they fixed a shroud valve and added freon as there was none left.

I drove 600 miles for a trip and AC was hot again. A friend had added groin from Advanced auto so I could get home 600 miles back in 104 degrees. I was now out of warranty by 1000 miles and just sucked it up winter was around the corner. Here it is July 2018 and I couldn't bear the heat in NC and brought it back to say it still isn't fixed and what they fixed was pointless.

On this visit they charged me $177.80 for mechanic to say there's no from. $60.00 for refrigerant and $7.00 for dye and said bring it back in 2 weeks so we can see if there's a leak. Pissed isn't even the word. It was never fixed in the first place while it was under warranty and now I have to pay for their short cuts. Here it is Mon. July 23 and the freon is feeling warm already. Not even 5 days fixed.

So when I bring it back for them to check where the dye is leaking and I'm gonna have to pay to fix it which could cost anywhere from $20.00 part to $900.00.

Unreal how the dealership works in the mechanic shop. Temporary fix and when warranty runs out your screwed. I still owe a year and a half on this car. Also brought it in for turning off on me while driving which could in turn be related to the rest of the system. Extremely unhappy and this is not the first Ford vehicle I have bought from them.

Fusion

I purchased this car new. After a few months notice it is pulling like the alignment was off. During the time I had the car I noticed transmission not picking up, seems to kinda get stuck after first gear. The interior keeps coming off, I took it to Beach Ford 1000 times (I give up) and now recently receive two notices for recalls and I heard that there are a lot of problems with the Fusion, all I'm trying to do is get rid of it.
