CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?
This car goes thru tires like crazy. On my 4th set of tires and only have 112,000 miles on it. I have purchased 70,000 mile tires and get 25,000 miles from them. I went in for a tire rotation today and the dealer stated that I have two bad tires, one on the front and one on the back. I cannot keep tires on this car. I am 65 years old and do not abuse tires. Trips to see the grand kids is about all I use it for.
I drive the turnpike to and from work, so I drive all highway mile. 40 miles each way. The tires are rotated every other oil change, there is no freaking reason the tires should be going bad again. I have had the piece of crap totally re aligned at the dealer twice. Something is either wrong with the shocks again (dealer replaced one) and a tire. The damn thing chewed that tire off also. Or the wheels are bad. I just put the new set of tires on last fall and this summer the car shakes and sounds like I am driving an off road vehicle! (again)
