CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?
I just wish Ford would own up to the problem. And pay drivers for these messed up cars. It's a big inconvenience. I can't really use my car, it's starting to jerk and stutter when I drive it. Every three months I have to go in the car dealership and have it fixed. They don't even want to give me a loaner.
I notice that when I first start driving the car, I go a few minutes with the car sounding like and feeling like I'm driving in neutral, then it changes gear, sometimes with a kick. This happens after you stop, then start to go! You have to wait for it to get in the right gear before the car pick up speed.
Ok so on the highway in 5th at about 55 then car seemed to jump into neutral that bank back into gear before took my foot off the gas, let it think and it was fine after that.
