CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

First time was yesterday morning. Husband was pulling out of a parking spot and car stalled. He didn't mention it, thinking it was just a fluke. Yesterday evening I went to the store and when pulling out of parking spot car started missing as if it were not getting fuel and then stalled. When I told husband about it, he explained that the same thing happened to him earlier in the day. Very scary feeling. Luckily both times were at slow speeds.
Vehicle stalled out after taking a turn after a stop sign. Speed was around 10-15mph. Rolled to side of road. Check engine light illuminated. Vehicle struggled to re-start after several attempts. When it did start it would immediately stall after placing the shifter into drive. Had vehicle towed to dealer.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle decelerated and the temperature warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that the temperature gauge was at the maximum high. The contact was not included in recall NHTSA campaign number: 12V551000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,755.
I was driving the car and it stopped running. My husband and I were returning from an appointment at the heart doctor and he had to push the car off to the side of the road. It was towed to the dealer where they kept it for two days. Three days after I got it back it did the same thing when I was by myself. Took back to the dealer where they kept it for four days and said it was fixed. I had it back for another two days and it happened again. The dealer has it now and I have no faith that it will be fixed right. This is a very dangerous situation and I do not feel safe at all driving my new car.
