CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

There was a storm coming in a bad one that caused major flooding. Rats know to take up hiding and safety. They literally chewed their way into my car through the trunk area plastic and chewed wires in the trunk and in the console. The parking brake was stuck on and I couldn't get it to shut off. I had to take out the seat the carpet and console pieces to find the wires. They are all chewed up causing no lights on dash board no obd II able to read nothing. The car runs but then goes into limp mode after a few minutes. The wires are chewed past repair. Some of them are fiber optic wires than can't be repaired. I only had this car for 6 mths when all this happened it cost me $5000 and a week out of work. I am so upset it cannot be fixed without an entire new harness which is really in depth. I was told the wires are made of eco friendly soy coating which rats love and this is why they broke in to have shelter and food. Totally feel this is on the manufacturer. My insurance would not pay because it was not fully covered just Comprehension.
