CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

I was driving down the road, thankfully at 15-20 MPH when the brake pedal hit the floor. I got the car stopped safely by down shifting and letting the gas off and jamming the break to the floor repeatedly. Once stopped, I saw brake fluid everywhere out of the passenger side front wheel area. I took the wheel off.
I saw the brake line was vertically split and had sprayed fluid everywhere. This could have been horrible if it had happened at any speed. The lucky thing for me is I was going slow. I have owned several vehicles in my life but never have I had a break line blow. I am not the first nor will I be the last. My suggestion is at 80,000 mile, have your fluid flushed and brake lines replaced. Just the rubber part from when the metal stops to the caliper. Don't let your brakes fail. I am going to go buy the rest and replace them. $120.00 is better than crashing at 70 MPH with no brakes.
