Premature Rusting
2013 Ford Fusion
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

Going to see what Ford will do about this problem. This is on my hood...previously had the same problem on my doors which Ford covered but it was under warranty at the time. Now my btb warranty has expired so it remains to be seen what will come of this. I have a 20yr old Chevy that has no rust and a 3 yr old Ford that started rusting the first year I got it....hmmmm
Update from Oct 18, 2016: Well, got word back today 10/18/16 that Ford has denied my claim. Metal hasn't perforated yet so they aren't going to fix an obvious defect in their painting process.
