CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.
I need some help with 2012 Ford Fusion SEL. I’ve had immediate brake failure. The pedal drops to the floor without any driving warning and the dash brake light doesn’t light-up. It is a significant problem. I am very concerned about driving without a clear solution. All of brake pads, rotors, and calipers have been replaced along with brake master cylinder.
I’m not sure if it is the Anti-Lock System. I’ve tapped on the ABS cylinder to try to dislodge a stuck/ frozen cylinder. All of the ABS fuses have been replaced (Pump & Valve).
What solution is the solution? I’m always very interested in discovering solutions myself. In this case I’ve exhausted my resources to discover what the actual problem is.

Update from Aug 18, 2022: I need some help. According to Ford and my Ford dealer there aren’t any ABS recalls on the brakes at this time (08/18/22). Some former brake complaints on this site state there is a recall for 2006? to 2012 Fusions. Any help on ABS recalls for a 2012 Ford Fusion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for clearing up this confusing information.
Backing out of driveway and no brakes! Tried several times but brakes went to the floor! Neighbors fence and a hard 90 degree turn stopped me with 5800 worth of body damage.
Tow truck driver had to use emergency brake to manuver car to tow truck, brakes went to floor with him!
At dealer they found no diagnostic codes and brakes work. They found no problems physically with brake system.
I opened case with Ford. Demand a Ford Engineer examine car.
Mechanic said "something happened" and he may never find it. I do not feel safe with this car. I told dealer if I take it back and brakes fail again, I will sue Ford.
