CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.
The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.
And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

We happened on to this problem by just glancing at the paint. Since noticing the cracking paint we have taken it to the dealer twice for digital pictures to send to Ford to determine the cause. The paint now seems to be flying off as we drive it. Ford is saying that this occurred due to some sort of friction or bump but yet there are zero dings or scratches in this area. I will post pictures and we are in the process of contacting a Lawyer due to Ford not wanting to take ownership of this. As God as my witness I am going to unload this car and will NEVER EVER PURCHASE a FORD car ever again in my life. I will absolutely never purchase a car from Expressway Ford Dealership in Mt Vernon Indiana ever again.
