CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.
The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.
And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

This Fusion isn’t mine, but my brother’s car. His car is a rolling trash can, and at relatively low mileage his driver’s side woofer blew up! Even though Ford is my favorite brand of car, you can’t justify this level of poor craftsmanship, a sound system should WORK AS INTENDED! NOT BLOW UP A LOW MILEAGE!
How did this sound system get a green light? (For clarification, this is the sound system you get with the lower package and trims, not the Sony one on the SEL/hybrid/Sport). I’ve never heard of any other car blowing a speaker with gentle usage at that low mileage! Shame on you Ford, I know you have done and can do much better than this! My 2010 Focus never had any issues at all during the time I owned it. My family has had Fords for decades with little to no issues, his car is the first pile of sh*t any of us have ever had.
