CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.
The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.
And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

My car has been under recall for takata passenger airbag explosion risks for over 15 months and there is still no timeline for replacement parts. When will Ford make my vehicle safe to drive again?
16S26 / NHTSA recall 16V-384 - I have contacted my dealership "helfman Ford" several times regarding this recall and was told that the part was not available to fix my car. I also contacted Ford head office in Michigan and was told the same. They said when they have the parts they will contact me. It has been a year and three months now since I received the recall notice, and still no action was taken, and no resolution
I am driving a potentially deadly automobile. I do not care if tekata does not have enough airbag replacements. Then Ford should give me a safe car until they get replacement bags. Do their new cars have safe airbags" then stop selling the new cars and fix the already purchased cars! why does our government force me to drive a deadly car while Ford still makes profit on new sales"
Takata recall has been on a recall list for my vehicle for quite a while. I purchased this vehicle in Jan/16 and was aware of this recall. Since then, there has not bee a remedy presented and there is also a high risk for this to malfunction. With the temperatures in central Texas well above 100 degrees, I am concerned that this has not been addressed and a remedy has not been presented. The field service action number is 15N01 I have also received a letter in the mail of something along the lines that I could file a claim for this. I will investigate that further but I know that takata airbags are filing for bankruptcy. So my concern is that there will never be a remedy available.

Takata recall I can not get my air bag replaced until the part becomes available and I contacted my Ford dealer who informs me there is no expected date for the air bag to be available. This is totally unexceptable. The part needs to be manufactured and sent out to all dealers who have customers with an effected auto. What is going happen if a person is killed due to this recall that is not being fulfilled, ? the company needs to get it in gear and get these air bags made and sent out.
The air bags were recalled in June of 2016. I received a notice from the bankruptcy court (tk holdings, Inc) to contact a local dealer for a replacement air bag. I did and they do not have any replacement air bags. When will this recall be fulfilled? the delay in remedying this defect is unreasonable.

Takata recall we all know of this recall and I received my first recall notice over 1 year ago. Every time I call Ford I am told the same thing... "we have not released parts yet.. will call when we do". in the mean time I have my family driving around in a very unsafe car. What can we do as consumers? this is ridiculous! they are obviously just trying to see if we will forget about it. What is your role (NHTSA) in forcing them to either give me the parts or take the car back?? I need a resolution.. my family is not safe in this!
Takata recall. Received notice of recall for passenger frontal airbag inflator July 2016. Ford continues to tell me this cannot be fixed as they do not have replacement parts.
We received the recall notice in the mail for my car when Ford first went public with the recall notice.vi went to dealership and was told that there were no replacements available and there would probably never be a replacement available. But they did say they were putting us on a list to be repaired if the airbags ever became available. Of course I'm still driving around in this deathtrap of a car with no replacement insight.
