i came to stop sign. my car lunged and gas accelerator stuck

This just happened twenty minutes ago while heading into town. The Car was at a stop sign and I was creeping up using break to gas with slight taps of each until i stopped and then there was a delay and then car lunged forward as the gas accelerator seemed to come on like someone was pushing the pedal down.I was already on the break at the time or I would have been T boned as there were multiple vehicles driving past. That was really scary. I searched to make sure my drivers mat didn't cause it but there wasn't any in the car. So besides almost getting killed in a possessed car I guess I have to buy new drivers mats also. It was really pretty freaky that after trying to make a left turn at a stop sign with no gas pedal touched the accelerator can come on by it own. So Scary.This could easily kill someone . I wonder if anyone has had this with their Ford Fusion 3.0 AWD SEL. Thanks
