CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.
The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.
And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

Bought car used with 27000 mi. on it in January 2013. Went out on cold morning, started car, noticed squealing in engine compartment, raised hood to diagnose problem. Squealing appears to be coming from apparent belt tensioner. Took car to Taylor Ford in Taylor, MI. They kept car for couple hours, problem did not reoccur, so, dealer did nothing. Went to p/u car and dealer said they needed car for whole day to diagnose problem. Like duhh, I explained to them the problem, but, guess I'm an ignorant moron (so to speak). They couldn't take my word for it, so, I said, when I can take a day off work, I'll bring it back! Never took it back. Every winter, when it gets cold enough, she screams like girls in Friday 13th movie, until she warms up! Keep telling girl friend to sell piece of American junk, or she'll be sorry!
