CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't
Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.
2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

I purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion in 2014. I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. This is the first time I have ever purchased a Ford and it will probably be my last. Since I purchased this car I have had a number of issues such as bad calipers and now the Electronic Throttle Body. I know there can be issues with other car models and makes but I am totally against Ford cars at this point. There has been several complaints regarding the ETB in several of the Ford Vehicles and the Ford Fusion 2010 was included in the problem. However, Ford never did a recall on this issue and only offered a customer satisfaction program that was only to appease certain VIN numbers ,which is totally unfair to other owners of the Ford Fusion. I hope that other owners of the Ford Fusion have had better lucked than I have. I am really disappointed with Ford. I think I will go back to Toyota's.
