CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't
Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.
2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

Very annoying. This is the 2nd time this happened this year, the first time it happened I thought I was actually hallucinating so I blew it off.
Not even a year later this happens while I'm at a stop light today, my car just starts jerking and moving aggressively. EVERY time I'm at a red light I have to put my car in park because it wont stop shaking and I'm scared of the outcome if I leave it in drive with my foot on the brake.
Now today my check engine light came on while I was driving down the road, but the jerking/shaking problem seemed to stop. Not really sure what happened but I'm extremely glad I still have my extended warranty, I've had powertrain problems in the past such as the throttle body failing with the orange wrench light on my dash in 2018, that was luckily replaced.
Only seems like after your car is fully paid off the issues seem to begin, never had any problems under 60k miles. Unbelievable.
