CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't
Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.
2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

Ford dealer in Springfield IL said they checked car and found nothing. I picked up car from the dealership after work and the car died less than 200 yards from the dealer. This problem is a major defect and Ford wont recall the problem. Another Ford worker quietly told us the problem is the ignition coils and the cost is very expensive (approximate cost- 2000.00 dollars for six cylinder). The Ford Manager wants us to pay hundreds of dollars to fix a 2010 Ford Fusion with very low mileage. I prefer an attorney to force a recall.
Do not buy a Ford Fusion else you will pay for major repairs annually. It amazing how they lie to your face. Ford Fusions cars are junk.
