CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't
Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.
2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

This happened once on the highway. The car just lost power. I had to cross over several lanes of traffic.. luckily no one was too close to me.
Then yesterday I came upon a stoplight in town and it just died.. battery light and oil can light came on. Luckily I was on a small incline so I was able to coast backwards to the safety of the shoulder.
My mechanic had taken it home to see if it would do it again.. drove it back to the shop the next morning. All is fine. But it isn't. When will this happened again. Why doesn't this show up on any of the diagnosis? My battery is new. What is wrong with my car?!
