The contact owns a 2009 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V904000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact took the vehicle to chiefland Ford (916 N. young blvd, chiefland, fl 32626) and informed the dealer that the ABS warning light had illuminated on the instrument panel. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the mechanic informed him that the ABS module needed to be replaced and that the replacement was not covered under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and called the service manager at the dealer. The manufacturer agreed with the dealer and confirmed that the ABS module needed to be replaced. No additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Consumer stated brakes were bad and took the vehicle in twice for a recall.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
