We have had our 2009 Ford Fusion SE 2.3L for about six years. It's had a handful of random issues, some covered by extended warranty and some happened afterward. Overall it's been a decent family car. However, this January we a received what reads as a pretty significant potential issue with the ABS brake module - "may result in extended brake pedal travel"... When this first was received, I called the dealer immediately who told me they would contact me when parts were in. With life's business, I forgot.
One would think with a notice like this they would be ready to fix... yet here we are, almost 8 months later, and I happened to stop into the dealer to check on this recall. NO parts and no fix offered yet!
We'll see how soon they get to this fix, and if I have any issues on the road because of it. Fortunately my wife and kids are no longer regularly in the car and it is my work vehicle, but a safety issue like this seems like it should be fixed ASAP, not "whenever parts are available."
