Kayser Ford in madison, wi was supposed to have replaced driver side air bag. I have concerns about their properly replacing, per the safety recall, as tim douglas boasted that "they have over 47 airbags" in back and this is not how the recall should work. The part needs to be ordered per the VIN and received and put in, not some random spare extra parts in back, put in the vehicle, without knowing how long they have been sitting there. Further, this Ford replaced the passenger airbag, and pulled on the bottom edge of the airbag compartment, causing a badly tented edge, that could obstruct the passenger air bag deployment or tear the bag if it is deployed, and affect the angle and trajectory of the deployment. This Ford denied any responsibility. When we had it towed for other repairs including the driver side airbag, they not only did not perform the necessary repairs, but they caused harm to our car: Damage to the front bumper, failed to refill fluids correctly, including transmission fluid and power steering fluid and did not replace the front brake calipers. The new serpentine belt is loose and makes a noise. They also drove our car over 30 miles, without our authorization and then lied on the invoice claiming that our car came in and left at the same mileage. Further, they left our car on a tow truck with the J hook hanging from the suspension and under tension, all night.

The ptu is a basically a transfer case that small Ford Ford AWD vehicles use to transfer engine power from the transmission to the rear wheels. The part is connected to the transmission surrounded by the engine, exhaust and catalytic converter, the ptu only hold a quart of lubricating fluid no cooling no service interval and all of the heat surrounding the unit bakes the lubrication causing lack of lubrication causing ptu and transmission failure. Repair quote from a Ford dealership on 1/29/2020 with a Ford remanufactured transmission and labor is $5000 repair. This unit failure is in a 2007 Fusion with 92K miles other than the powertrain issue is a solid vehicle that perform great until the ptu and transmission failure with no warning. While driving at highway speeds the vehicle wheels locked up skidding the car to a stop and stalling the engine. Now it cracks and pops and locks up the wheels.

Takata airbag recall and steering bolt recall my car has been under recall since 2016, and I was just offered a rental vehicle from a Ford on June 27th, 2018 - 'until further notice - renewing every 30 days' at only $30 per day, which is half the cost of a daily rental. Ford stated my car was unsafe to drive, and yet I have to pay out of my pocket to have a safe vehicle until they figure out parts? I cannot even trade my unsafe car in due to the outstanding repair severely decreasing the value of my car. My car only has 103,000 miles on it and I have already spent significant amounts of money on other repairs. This car has been a total nightmare! just recently I had to replace the entire front axle due to the cv boot rupturing & major rusting. My car has had several steering column issues, including loss of power steering on three occasions, resulting in repairs. Recently I read that cars manufactured in Mexico have a bolt in the steering column that can come loose - resulting the detaching of the steering wheel. I have not yet received a letter pertaining to this issue - however my vehicle falls in the category described on their website.

My 2007 Ford Fusion makes a loud, hidious, noise when I turn my weels, even in the slightest. Hard to explain the noise but when it's colder outside it doesn't make it and when it gets hot outside, then it gets worse like something is expanding and contracting with the temperature outside. Anytime my tire's move that noise is made. Btw it is a AWD wheel drive keeps getting water in tail lights and blowing bulbs maybe part of takata recall as well.

I brought my Ford Fusion 2007 into tires plus to have A/C repaired. I had thought it was the A/C sensor in the dash, as they are notorious for failing in this make and model. I was right. Despite this, I was not listened to (I'm just a dumb female, right?), and the mechanics replaced the compressor, clutch, and condenser, only to find A/C did not work. In the process, they also moved the motor mounts and the power pump and drained the car of all power steering fluid. I was sent on my way. I was literally unable to leave their lot due to no power steering!! the car also vibrated significantly now at stop lights. I was concerned they damaged the motor mounts as well. The steering has grown significantly stiffer and difficult to turn. Firestone/tires plus agreed to repair the A/C sensor but only if I agreed to have it towed to a Ford dealership in oconomowoc. I was up against the wall, as I was concerned about the power steering issue and safety. It is incredibly scary to have power steering fail when you are driving at 60 mph! the Ford dealership treated me badly (no surprise) and told me "they could find nothing wrong with the power steering." I brought it to another Ford dealership, under the direction of Firestone, and now, I was told that yes, I am correct, the motor mounts needed replacing. They did a brief inspection of power steering as well as a flush, and told me there was "nothing wrong." When I went to pick up my car from the gordie boucher dealership in janesville, (I was treated poorly here as well), the motor mounts were replaced, fixing the vibration issue caused by Firestone/tires plus, but the power steering is even stiffer and just as difficult to turn. Please help. I am being given the run around from Firestone as well as Ford. No one wants to step up to the plate. I am concerned about our safety. I don't want my child injured.

However, he continued to experience problems. The consumer went to another dealer, who informed him, the problem would happen again, because the bolts that held the pulley in place, were too small in diameter and would break at some point. The idler pulley bolt broke off and pulled the belt off (the belt did not break) making me lose power steering, and of course the battery would not hold a charge. This happened June 8, 2013, June 23, 2013 and again on September 11, 2013. Ford is telling me that there is no problem but the dealer that fixed my car the 1st two times now has it again and has a call into Ford to see what the problem could be that it has happened to me 3 times in the past 2 1/2 months. All 3 times I was driving when it happened. The second 2 times it happened I heard a pop almost like I ran something over and immediately lost power steering. It almost has me afraid to put my kids in my car. Unfortunately I only have one car and can't afford a new one.

I made sure that my car was in park, and still my key would not come put of the ignition. 2007 Ford Fusion 4 cylinder, manual transmission. Extremely difficult to control in winter weather. I have driven other manual transmissions on snow and ice with no problems. This car is terrible. I lost control once traveling about 20 mph and did $2000 front end damage. Suddenly, the front went slightly left and the rear went to the right as I spun around, hit a mailbox post and barely missed a telephone pole. The steering wheel of the Ford Fusion SE puts excessive pressure on the carpel tunnels of the hands, when it is held naturally, which leads to numbness and tingling in the fingers. The steering wheel is hard and shaped more like a wagon wheel than a steering wheel. I have tried steering wheel covers, but they only help a little. The shape of the wheel is still a problem even with a padded steering wheel cover.

On approximately May 12, 2010 as I parked my 2007 Ford Fusion in parking lot of convenient store I was unable to remove my key from the ignition. I noticed my steering wheel would not lock. I returned home and my husband made sure the vehicle was in park and still the key would not turn all the way back so that the wheel could lock and key could be removed. He disconnected my battery post and then tried to turn the key backwards and this is the only way the key would turn back enough to lock the wheel and be removed. I called a local Ford dealer and was told they did not have any reports of the Fusion but did have reports about another model. I would like to have this reported because this can be costly. I am now convinced.

2007 Ford Fusion - cracks in front subframe effecting steering yesterday I was informed by a Ford dealer, don reid Ford in maitland Florida, that the likely explanation for the "notchy" feel in my steering wheel on my 2007 Ford Fusion is probably due to cracks at weld seams in the front subframe of the vehicle. I was told by another Ford service tech that the issue could also be a bad steering column intermediate shaft as a result of this condition. This vehicle is 1 1/2 years old and so far the dealer is thinking it is not covered under warranty. I was told by this Ford tech that the weld cracking problem is a "known issue" at Ford and he agrees 100% that it is a safety issue. I can feel looseness / clunking in my steering when going over bumps and turning. This is not an alignment issue since, on the Ford Fusion, the front alignment is not adjustable. I am very concerned as to the safety of the vehicle and am being told it may cost over $1,000 to repair this obvious manufacturer defect. I first noticed this issue a few weeks ago on Friday, August 1st while making a 3 point turn in a tight parking lot. The condition is progressively getting worse. Please help.
