The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. After the driver buckled the seat belt, the seat belt exploded and locked the driver in the seat. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was a moisture failure and the seat belt restraint on the driver and passenger sides needed to be repaired. The contact was informed that the air bag warning indicator was supposed to illuminate in order for the failure to occur. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was not contacted about the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

If something happens to one of my kids it will no be pretty!!!!!!!!! you need to get my side of town preferable inskeep Ford dealership on the East side!!!!
Takata recall no local dealers have replacements and I've heard there are none forthcoming. Airbag affected is front passenger, which puts one of us in danger whenever we have to use that vehicle.

My passenger airbag light kept coming on. I checked with the dealer and was told that when parts came in I would be notified. II received notice of the takata recall in June 2016 but have not received any calls from the dealer or Ford Motor Company for the resolution of this problem. I wrote to the Ford company on 11/2/16, but as to this date have not received any reply.
Takata recall: Issued in June 2016, and still not addressed. No issues of yet, but I have a land mine in my passenger dash, and it should be fixed, this is unacceptable.
I had just bought my 2007 Ford Fusion barely a month ago based on the fact that the VIN number was clean, no history of accidents and one owner. I have had no idea that my now new to me precious vehicle that I love lots and shelled out 3,000 for was a part of this airbag inflate recall until I got a notification in the mail yesterday and ran my plate through the airbag recall website. I use my now loved vehicle for uber and I take my children to school in the vehicle in question daily. Now it makes me question not only my personal safety but the safety my children and my uber passengers. Lucky for me I have not gotten into an accident with this vehicle yet. I have been in an accident in a vehicle that had absolutely no airbags at all 10 years ago and I am literally fortunate enough to still be alive and well. In the accident I was in just not this vehicle in particular, highway patrol in Nevada thought I was going to die. Now this vehicle I just bought I bought October 4th, 2017. Also I caught when my 12 year old son who happens to be the same height and weight as me the passenger side airbag off light stays on when he is in the vehicle. I'm 5'3" 125 pounds. He's the same. That should not be.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Have contacted Ford of murfreesboro on several occassions. They state that they do not have replacement airbags, and that it is against the law to disable the current airbag. This recall was dated June 2017. It is now November 2017. You would think that Ford company would be able to engineer their own replacement airbag in 17 months.
Takahe recall - no replacement parts for the people who have one of the recalled air bags, and it says that the person could be hurt or killed with the metal parts that could come from it when it is energized..I don't want to see anyone in my vehicle get hurt or killed from this problem, just like I'm sure Ford execs or the NHTSA peolple would want to drive this vehicle either.
Takata recall no accident no injury. Reporting ineptness of Ford to rectify this situation. Dealer told me that my air bag may not deploy and allow no one to ride in the front passenger seat. Are you kidding ??then give me a car of equal value with a working passenger side airbag. I take elderly people shopping, etc. Dealers or private owners should not be allowed to sell a car with a serious recall and no immediate fix. The site does not allow a person to express a complaint although it says before filing out the form an accident or injury is not necessary to complete the form.
Takata recall today November 11, 2017, we called salinas valley Ford, spoke to service writer, elizabeth zamora, about this recall. She checked with parts and no parts are available for repacement or repair.
"takata recall" notice was given in July 2016 that the airbags were defective and would be replaced. They are a disaster waiting to happen. We just want replacement before this happens.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags); however, the parts do to the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair since the recall notice was received over a year ago. The dealer (bob thomas Ford Lincoln, 310 w coliseum blvd, fort wayne, in 46805 (260) 482-4456) and several other Ford dealers in Indiana were contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting her that they filed for bankruptcy. The contact had not experienced a failure.
