I have not had one restful year with this car, I should have thrown this piece of garbage out long ago....

This is the third time in three years now I had to replace a gasket cover and seals, and replace the spark plugs due to the oil seepage around the engine in places where it should definitely not wander....

This time it started when I was going 70 MPH on the interstate and my car decided to decelerate to 65, 60, and then I was down to 40 by the time I pulled off on an exit. Driving back home was fine but then I noticed it started to smell like burnt oil (as it did the prior two times in past years) and our engine light did not kick in until the next day....

The mechanic basically told us it is time to say goodbye to this car if this is the third time in three years we are having this issue. Good riddance.

Fusion EXL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,000 miles

My teenage son was driving down the freeway, headed home from college and the car jerked and dramatically decreased in speed then died....this happened several times. It started back up each time with the wrench light and check engine lights coming on. This is incredibly dangerous and from what I'm seeing on the internet, has happened in quite a few other Fusions. It took him an hour for a half hour ride. We literally just bought this car a month ago.

Fusion SE 2.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

Started to notice at about 75,000 miles, that when attempting to accelerate to pass or change lanes etc. there is a very noticeable dead spot in the throttle. when pedal is pressed there is a dead area where nothing happens for a few seconds then it opens up. any body else have this issue or a fix for what is happening?
