For the last couple of years I've had to replace three pulleys and one of them twice! The first time I was just riding along and the steering became hard to steer. So I had to coast to the side of the road and raise the hood only to see the belt broken. I pulled it out and heard the pulley hit the ground. At that point I had to call a tow truck. About 6 months later it happened again only this time the belt didn't break. Again I had to have the car towed. Then a third time the same thing happened but this time I had to go find the pulley in the street. Every time this has happened the bolt that is supposed to hold the pulley in place breaks! I'm so tired and frustrated with this car I don't know what to do, but what I do know is that Ford has made a good looking car that isn't worth a dime!!!! I thought that Ford had changed which is one of the reasons why I bought the car in the first place, but I see now that they are still the same old Ford from yester-years Fix Or Repair Daily!!! I will never buy another Ford and will surely not recommend it to Anyone!! I know that this is happening to other people they just haven't posted their complaints yet! Bad business Ford and to see that they had a recall for floor mats. REALLY!!! We're having engine problems people!!!!!!!!

This is now the 3rd time in 8 months that the idler pulley bolt has broke and will now require engine block replacement to have it fixed properly due to poor design of this part. The first time that the bolt broke I am not sure how long it was broken. I am not the regular driver of this vehicle but my wife said it was making noise. When I looked, I had seen the idler pulley was crooked, when I removed tension from the belt the idler pulley fell to the belly pan. The bolt was able to be replaced and then lasted for approx 6 months when the bolt broke again leaving my wife sitting on the side of the road on a very busy highway. The vehicle had to be towed in for service.

Finally, again today, my wife said that the car was making noise and I had her look at the pulley which again was sitting crooked. I had her shut the car off and had to leave work to pick her up. When removing tension from the belt the pulley again fell away. All 3 times the bolt has been broken. I believe this is due to poor design and unsupported bolt shaft. The final time that the bolt has broke has now damaged the mount which will require major rework. I will be trading this car in ASAP and will NEVER buy a FORD product again EVER, as well I will tell everyone I know to never buy a FORD car as well. Prior to this I was a faithful FORD customer.

I have a Ford Fusion 2007 4 cylinder that has 150,000 miles on it. It's a beautiful car outside, but internally it has been like an out of shape person waiting for a cardiac arrest!!! I work very hard to keep this vehicle well maintained, but it doesn't matter.

The 1st thing was the light in the clock went out, then the clock itself stopped working; second, it would hesitate when you stepped on the gas pedal to speed up to turn when oncoming traffic was approaching (very dangerous); then the led on the stereo began to flicker off and on and now you can't see what the radio station is playing at all; the bearing on the front left and right wheels had to be replaced; one motor mount had to be replaced and the 2nd one is due soon; the most annoying problem of all is the pulley is causing a bolt that's assisting in holding it in place keeps snapping in two preventing the engine belt from rotating and it snaps causing me to take emergency maneuvers in traffic. This is the 2nd time in three months and the replacement bolt has now broken, once again putting me and my family in perilous danger. This vehicle is not SAFE!!!

I can't believe FORD would not make it known that they have a problem with this model and year vehicle. It seems as if nothing will be done until one or several of their customers are mutilated, rendered incapacitated, maimed or become a victim of a fatal vehicular accident. I nor my family want to lead the pact to be the 1st!!!!

The ford dealer in houston said that the belt is making high noise. You know that dealer did not want to fix is for free. Only change belt under warranty. Wrong part stupid ass. Change it my self if not hard but not easy you have to take off, put the car on jacks, and take the idler screw off the car by small handes. Mechanic jack the motor take motor mount easy, I am DIY or do not have the money to give stupid ass design or should be on recall. GOD save USA Governmnet for not help the people who are unemployed and have problem with FORD COMPANY.Before I Die i will never go FORD or CHEVY.
