We purchased our 2007 Ford Fusion used, recently. We have noticed that, whenever we open the door, the interior dome light goes on, as expected. However, it stays on for at least 20 minutes (while we are driving too). It is quite annoying (and illegal, I understand) to be driving in the dark with the interior light on. We have tried to open the interior dome light cover, but cannot. Since there is no warranty on the vehicle, please advise if this is normal for this make.
2007 Ford Fusion light switch, with fog light, switch bezel clips are breaking. The whole assembly fell out due to having weak mounting clips. The normal switch that doesn't require you to pull on it to turn on the fog lights probably doesn't have this issue. I use my lights day and night including the fog lights during the day for safety. This could cause wire breaks and possibly an electrical short if a new bezel with stronger mounting clips aren't installed.
